Property line adjustment
Property line adjustment (sometimes know as lot line adjustment) surveys are used to adjust an existing common property line between two abutting properties. No additional lot may be created.
Written descriptions of the adjusted properties are provided with a property line adjustment survey. Monuments are set marking the proposed property line and a drawing is prepared and recorded at the County Surveyor’s Office. A supplemental survey is provided showing the location of buildings, utilities, proposed and existing property lines.
Property line adjustments are reviewed by the controlling jurisdiction in which the land is located.
